On Wednesday, April 22, 2026, we're celebrating Earth Day together with millions of people around the world. We, too, want to pause and remember that our planet deserves attention, and we'd like to do our part.

What's in store?

Throughout the day, both inside the library and across our social media channels, you'll find activities designed to help you learn something new about sustainability, environmental protection, and the small everyday steps that actually add up.

Earth Day BINGO: play online

Our website features an interactive Earth Day BINGO. The idea is simple: click the squares that apply to you or that you'll tick off today. The globe above the card has glowing points, each hiding an interesting eco-fact. It's a playful way to reflect on the sustainable habits you've already mastered and those you might want to explore next. Directly from the card you can also jump into our catalogue for reading tips on ecology, sustainable development, environmental protection, and climate.

Swap of student items (April 22–29)

Starting on Earth Day, we'll be running a week-long swap of student items. The idea is simple: bring things you no longer use and trade them for something else. It's a hands-on example of the circular economy, one of the core principles of a sustainable approach to resources. One last thing: you can bring items any time during the week, and you're welcome to take something home even if you haven't brought anything yourself. The swap is open to everyone.

See you at the library!
