Special library operations
The library is currently running in an exceptional mode for two reasons.
Due to damage to the roof, we remain physically closed until further notice.
On top of that, we are now migrating to a new library system.
What happens at the end of July
The current library system will be shut down. During the outage:
- the catalogue will be temporarily unavailable
- you will not be able to check the status of your reader account
You can still return books through the bibliobox at the library entrance, available 24/7.
We will process them as soon as operations allow.
All loans due before 18 September have been automatically extended to that date, so there is nothing you need to do and no fines to worry about.
After the new system launches (around 19 August)
- accounts of active readers will be transferred automatically, no action needed on your side
- loan history and saved favourites will not be carried over
- katalog.muni.cz will host the new unified search for books and e-resources
- the old catalogue will be temporarily available at vufind.ics.muni.cz
- new registrations will be handled online in IS MU
