Vision and Strategy of the Library

We are moving towards a library that is accessible from anywhere. We will continue to develop our digital portfolio, expand our range of electronic resources, and continue digitizing documents. At the same time, we are committed to the long-term preservation of both our digital and physical heritage.

Our goal is to ensure that users have access to information at any time, easily and securely, regardless of time or place.

The library is built on the needs of its users. We listen to students, teachers, and researchers, and we constantly develop our services based on their feedback.

We build relationships based on trust, cooperation, and respect, and we create a community that helps shape the library.

We recognize the changing role of libraries in the academic environment. Today, libraries are places for study, teamwork, mutual inspiration, and regeneration.

That is why we monitor current needs and actively respond to them—for example, by expanding spaces for group activities, quiet work, or relaxation.

Our priority is to provide a comprehensive infrastructure for science. We support the principles of open science, ensure equal access to information, and offer expert advice on publishing, licensing, and identifier management.

We strive to create an environment that simplifies research processes and makes scientific knowledge accessible to the entire academic community.

We want to be a key partner for natural scientists in research data management. We will provide expert advice on data plans, support FAIR principles, and offer tools for professional documentation and archiving of research.

Our goal is to be there at every stage of the research cycle—from planning to publication and data sharing. We strive to make data reproducibility and openness a natural part of our faculty's scientific practice.

We will guide the academic community through the world of AI tools for research and study. We will make AI assistants available for literary research, data analysis, and support in writing publications, while also building a robust educational program in critical AI literacy.

We want to teach scientists and students to recognize the limits of AI, navigate ethical dilemmas, and use artificial intelligence responsibly—in a way that enhances the quality of research rather than jeopardizing it.

We will actively monitor the development of AI technologies relevant to the natural sciences and ensure their availability with the appropriate educational context.

We believe that sharing knowledge and best practices strengthens our ability to create high-quality services. We develop cooperation at both the individual and institutional levels and cultivate partnerships that bring new perspectives, innovations, and shared opportunities.
