Open Science

We offer support in meeting the conditions of open science to make scientific results more accessible to all.

Open Science

Open Science is a model of open science and access to publications (Open Access) and data shared according to FAIR principles. Open Access is a form of scientific communication that aims to provide immediate, free, permanent and unlimited online access to publicly funded results. It is an alternative approach to the traditional publishing model where content is only available to subscribers.

In November 2022, the MU Open Science Strategy 2022-2028 was adopted by the university management to take measures to support the Open Science concept at MU for the appointed time. It defines ten strategic goals focusing on Open Access, FAIR Data, publication storage, data and more. The University has thus reaffirmed its intention to promote and facilitate Open Science.

Open Science as project condition

The development of University strategy is largely influenced by the policies of funders and strategies at national and international level. Projects supported by the EU and other grant agencies require or recommend open practice in research and dissemination of scientific results.
