Blender Software Available on PCs in Study Rooms
All computers in the study rooms have been newly equipped with Blender software. This professional, freely available, and open-source tool is designed for 3D modeling, animation, visualization, rendering, post-production, and creation of interactive 3D content.
Blender is used by both professionals and students worldwide. It offers a wide range of applications from creating scientific visualizations, molecular models, or geographic simulations to complex 3D animations and visual effects.
What Blender can be used for:
- Creating 3D models and visualizations for scientific papers and presentations
- Development of geological, geographical, and environmental models
- Animation of scientific procedures and natural phenomena
- Processing data from 3D scanners and photogrammetry
The software is available on all computers in the study rooms on both the ground floor and the first floor. For those interested in getting more familiar with this tool, we are planning a workshop focused on the basics of working in Blender for scientific visualizations next semester.
