Inadequate conditions in study rooms

16 Apr 2025

Dear students,

Thank you for your feedback regarding the unsatisfactory temperature conditions in the study rooms. We understand that the current situation with higher temperatures and insufficient ventilation in the study areas does not provide an optimal environment for studying and working.

We would like to inform you about the current status:

  • The temperature in the study rooms is controlled centrally outside the library, which unfortunately limits our ability to intervene immediately.
  • For safety reasons, some windows that showed defects have been temporarily secured against opening.
  • The library does not have an air conditioning unit – cooling and air exchange takes place through ventilation systems, which are again centrally controlled outside the library by the Building Management Department (TPO).

We assure you that we are working intensively to resolve this situation. Until then, we will ensure more frequent ventilation using the functional windows.

Thank you for your patience and understanding. We will keep you informed about further developments.
